I didnt stay at the resort but i visited the location after driving the tail and before heading off for the moonshiner. The qeb site pictures do not do this facility justice. Had I known it was as nice as it is, i would have booked a room just for the experience. The souvenir shop is remarkable. The gas price didnt seem to be outrageous. The parking is all paved but much of it is on a slope. The restaurant is very clean and well attended with professionals.

Rooms were very clean, fresh towels looked and felt brand new, great 5 star atmosphere, it definitely served its purpose. Plenty of room for truck and trailer, had a fire pit area, and the restaurant had very good food. If you’re riding the tail of the dragon this is a great place to meet fellow bikers & relax.

This is a must see location, not only having the adrenaline rush of crusing through the famous dragon tail, you will find a world that seems to take you back for a second.. Seeing life a bit slower yet still in modern time.. All the different bikes and cars are any motorheads dream, enjoy a fabulous lunch without breaking your wallet and enjoy the movie reel we call LIFE. Fear not , for the tale of the dragon is yours to tell... To be Continued......

Great place to go on a motorcycle trip/vacation. I haven't stayed there since 2015 but did visit in 2024. Nice rooms, good restaurant, wonderful gift shop and pretty decent prices. 10/10. The scenery is absolutely fabulous and the roads are as well!!

There is no other place like this on the planet! The resort is located at the HEART of what is "the" tail of the dragon! Best memories are sitting at the motel watching groups of bikes aaand cars roll by. The people you'll meet here are some of the greatest on earth! 12/10 will be returning!

This place was the absolute highlight of a week long roadtrip that I had taken earlier this year in July. The motel is situated right at the beginning of the tail of the dragon, so you need only go about 30 seconds up the road before you are riding on the road you came here for. The rooms were great. Very clean and had everything you would need for a few days in the middle of nowhere. I think some people would argue that they are a little on the utilitarian side, but I'd question what you were doing besides sleeping in there. There are multiple gear racks in the rooms which make setting out your helmet and jacket really easy. With a restaurant and gas station on site, you pretty much have it all. It's my hope to be back again as soon as possible. One final shoutout is to the fellow riders who stay overnight at the resort. The motel has designated quiet hours, like most lodging does. This was the first time I have ever traveled anywhere that these guidelines were followed exactly. From the moment quiet time started, I heard nothing. Everyone was incredibly respectful to one another.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The rooms were clean and the staff were friendly. Each room has a fully stocked bathroom. The rooms were nice and clean. I also liked how they catered towards bikers with wash rags available. The hotel provides easy access to Tail of the Dragon. You can’t get any better than that! I wish I had stayed here the entire week instead of doing my road trip. I’ll definitely stay here again!

I camped in the parking lot. This place was super chill and easy. I love that I just rolled up, slept in their lot, and squared up the next day. No hassle, it was all on the honor system. They have a bath and shower outside the rooms for the campers and it was fine for my needs. I would definitely come back here. For what it is it's perfect.
